Friends of Belmont Mounds State Park are leading an effort to upgrade the state park’s trails. The trails offer numerous scenic views, magnificent rock outcroppings, and a good workout to the top of the mound. The rock formations at the end of the northeast trail are worth the hike. The improvements will incorporate “You Are Here” signage as well as historical and environmental information. Benches will also be added.
