Bike Lane Pilot Project on 9th & 10th

Some downtown Dubuque streets look radically different these days, which is good. After extensive public input last year, the city engineers have dedicated bike lanes running eastbound on 9th Street and westbound on 10th Street. The engineers gathered input from surveys, bike shops, and the community group Dubuque Forward to implement this. The Dubuque City Council were very supportive with this initiative. The 9th Street segment runs to the Intermodal Center on Elm Street and the 10th Street lanes run to Main Street and other points west. City Engineer Jon Dienst said at a recent Tri-State Trail Vision meeting that no complaints have come forth yet with this pilot project.
