Veteran’s Memorial Trail Extension to the 16th Street Bridge Completed

The Chaplain Schmitt Island Connector Trail is almost complete. Coming off of the 16th Street Bridge, the trail descends now straight towards the Veterans Memorial Plaza. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted on Friday, October 25. Although some railings still need to be installed, the trail itself is complete, grading is done, and seeding has been established.
